Brief: Create a book containing the content that inspires you as an artist
Music has been a really big part of my life and has inspired me a lot as an artist, so I wanted to format my book as though it was an album booklet that would be inside of a CD case. For each chapter in my book, it is a different album of songs, and each section is a song off of that album. The art and artists that are within the section correlate to the song that the section is titled with. For the table of contents, I created and used sound waves of the songs to act as guiding lines from the section title to page number. Each section is separated by a full bleed image full spread image followed by a full bleed image on the left page. There was a lot of art. I wanted to feature in this book, so I used collage as a way to show multiple pieces of art while saving space. The entire book is black and white with blue as a feature in color. On a couple of the pages I have lyrics featured from the songs that the section is on.
