Brief: Create a motion graphic for multiple formats as well as a promotional video of an artist of your choice that will be attending
For my video, I wanted to capture Kristen Mallia‘s design voice while incorporating Multiple Formats design guidelines. Malia design, Kristen’s website, has her art displayed in a gridded system. I wanted to replicate this as well, as how one might scroll through her artwork in my video. One of Mallia’s recent works that would be coming to Multiple Formats contained pink spray, paint, as well as thread. I used these visual motifs in my video to display the name of Kristen‘s design company, connect back to Multiple Formats, as well as highlight her name at the bottom of the video. As for the sound Kristen had videos of her working outside and I wanted to create a similar feel but with more calming aspects. So I chose a soundtrack similar to when you’re here during meditation and added in bird chirping noises to the background.
